About Us

Sublime Plates is a small crockery business in Turlock, California. We sell plates, bowls, mugs, teapots and serving pieces that are meant to be used every day, not kept for best.

Why we started

Most kitchens end up with a cupboard of plates from four different sets, a mug from a conference and a serving bowl nobody remembers buying. Replacing it all at once feels expensive, and matching one broken plate is usually impossible because the set was discontinued years ago.

So we keep a small range and keep it in stock. The porcelain and stoneware pieces in our dinner sets are also sold in pairs and small sets, so when a plate breaks you can replace one plate rather than buying the whole set again.

What we sell

• Dinner plates and side plates in pairs and sets
• Cereal, soup and pasta bowls, and ramekins
• Mugs, espresso cups, teapots and tea sets
• Platters, serving bowls, jugs, butter dishes and cake stands
• Full dinner sets, from service for two to a forty piece set for eight

Forty two pieces in all, from a thirteen dollar pair of egg cups to a three hundred and ninety dollar table set.

Three materials, chosen for a reason

White porcelain for people who want one plain set that goes with everything and can be added to for years. Stoneware for people who want something heavier and warmer on a wooden table. Fine bone china for tea sets and for the one good set that gets handed down. Every product page says which it is.

How we pack

Every piece sits in its own moulded card slot. Big sets are split across several boxes so the carrier is not throwing around one very heavy box. There is no loose packing and no plastic. Even so, crockery sometimes breaks in transit, and when it does we replace it free and do not ask for the pieces back.

Where we ship from

Everything leaves our warehouse at 843 Wakefield Rd in Turlock, California, and we ship to all fifty states.
